Hello George Washington!
Unlike some of the other schools I had interest in, GW is a very famous school for being a leader in the field of political science. When I got to the campus, I was initially surprised by how close it was to the White House. Tucked away in the heart of D.C, George Washington provided a great location for college. If I truly wanted to go into politics, this school looked great. I was easily impressed by the list of speakers who had made recent presentations. GW also had great opportunities for studying abroad as well as internships. Gaining the experience in the "real world" seemed just as important as the great education GW had to offer. One aspect of the school that I did not get to experience was the friendliness of the student body because I visited during spring break. The admissions officer was great, however, without a student tour of the school, I feel like I missed a lot of what GW had to offer.
